Our Story

95 Farms is more than a beef supplier—we’re a legacy in the making. Built from faith, family, and a passion for excellence, we raise Akaushi Wagyu and Angus cattle with care, intention, and a commitment to health and transparency. Every cut we offer reflects years of thoughtful breeding and hands-on attention. Whether you're a chef, restaurant owner, or home cook with high standards, you’ll taste the difference in every bite.

Founded by Vernon and Etta M. Edwards during the pandemic, the vision was born from a desire to build generational wealth and reconnect with the land. With guidance from trusted family friend George “Uncle Patty” Payne and mentorship from Dr. Stahlman, the Edwards family purchased their first Akaushi Wagyu bull, Big Lou, in 2021.

The name 95 Farms pays tribute to Vernon Edwards’ NFL jersey number (#95) from his time with the San Diego Chargers—symbolizing discipline, teamwork, and generational resilience. Rather than naming the farm after himself, Vernon chose a number that quietly honors his journey from the field to the farm, from grit to grace.

What started as a leap of faith quickly grew into a mission: bring premium, health-forward beef to tables across Texas and beyond. From the gridiron to the pasture to the cloud, Vernon’s dedication to quality has never wavered. Today, 95 Farms is run by a close-knit team of family members, committed to preserving traditions while evolving for the future.

We’re not just producing meat—we’re building a movement rooted in legacy, wellness, and excellence.
